Affiliate Marketing is something that many of us may or may not be familiar with and quite frankly many of us shy away from it simply because we don't really understand it. It was also the same reason why I have not been posting as I have done so on a daily basis because I have been testing and trying out different techniques which I have learned.

To really talk about the term of affiliate marketing, we need to undertand what affiliate marketing is. Is it marketing? If you think it's just another way of marketing, then you're completely wrong! It is really a simple salesman's job and you're the salesman that is either trying to sale your own product or product of others to people and the platform you are doing so is over the internet. Each sale or a person interested in the product ended up signing up, you get a cut of the profit.

Now if properly applied, affiliate marketing can become quite profitable and a very steady source of passive income. Many "bad" businessmen uses very grey practices with it and many of us may have already seen these type of banners or advertisements. These type of businesses have really tainted the world of affiliate marketing and it's sad how it is being perceived today.

What I have personally discovered is the fact that if you actually provide your customers things they they ACTUALLY need, it'll go very well. Sounds funny and basic but believe me you will be surprised on how many people that can actually grasp this very same concept. Today's video I explain what affiliate marketing and the basic steps into it. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions, and as I have mentioned if it is properly implemented it can really generate a very generous amount of reward or income!

PS: I am not really liking my new system with Vista right now, it's gotten a lot of bugs in it. So if you are using your Windows XP, it's probably a good idea to wait until later to upgrade after these type of problems are being hammered out.

Thanks, yes half.com is a good way to promote yourself as a beginning affiliate marketer. Obviously as you become more experienced, then it's probably a better way to jump and hop to different niches.

Nice piece on affiliate marketing. I got interested in affiliate marketing about 9 months ago. I signed up with a few of my favorites and built a web site online shopping mall nbg. This mall has just over 195 stores in it. I optimized it for several key words which put the site on Google's page 1 for a bunch of them. Here's another idea for your readers. I also joined a home based mlm business. The name of the company is MXI which stands for Marketing Xocolate International. The company produces and distributes a product line called Xocai (pronounced sho-sigh) which consist of extremely high antioxidant chocolates. I'm not a salesperson, and don't want to be, however, I like the product, and especially the binary compensation plan, plus it only cost me $35 to join as a Distributor, so I did. I built me another web site:gourmet chocolate nbg and optimized it for my chosen key words. Not only have I been able to recruit new Distributors from all over the country (just using the web site), I've sold a bunch of the chocolate on my website. Apparently, raw chocolate is very rich in antioxidants, however, when you heat it to melt it, you kill most of the antioxidant nutrients. Then, when you add the milk and other crap like Hershey and Nestle, you ruin any hope of getting healthy benefits from eating the chocolate. MXI partnered with a Belgium company and invented a "cold based" process which does not destroy any of the antioxidant nutrients in their chocolate products. Since chocolate is a natural appetite suppressant, many people are buying the chocolate to lose weight. Any way, I think that web based mlm marketing is another way that you can make a nice passive income. I also build a web site called home based mlm business opportunity nbg. I use this site to help me recruit new Distributors as well. Check it out and see what you think.
